ChannelMom is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting, uplifting, and empowering mothers — including single moms, incarcerated moms, and everyday moms — through faith, community, and practical support.

To extend a helping hand to moms who need it — including marginalized single moms and incarcerated moms — guiding them and their children toward a brighter future through faith-based education, mentoring, and practical support.

How We Got Here
The Seed Is Planted
Founder Jenny Dean Schmidt recognizes the profound need to support and uplift mothers — from those in correctional facilities to single moms and everyday moms in the community.
ChannelMom Is Born
Officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Denver, CO. First outreach programs launch for mothers in need.
Programs Expand
Parenting curriculum, mentorship matching, and community outreach programs begin. First cohort of volunteer mentors trained.
Resources & Life Skills
Life skills and practical support programs added, helping mothers navigate housing, employment, and community resources.
Podcast & Community Growth
ChannelMom podcast launches with 500+ episodes encouraging moms. Volunteer base grows to over 100.
Community Platform
Digital community platform launches, connecting program participants with mentors, resources, and each other.
