Data Protection

Third-Party Services

To operate our platform, we use the following third-party services that may process limited data on our behalf:

• OpenAI:User-generated forum posts and direct messages (up to 5,000 characters) are sent to OpenAI’s Moderation API for automated safety screening. No user IDs or personal identifiers are included in these requests. OpenAI processes this data according to their privacy policy.
• Supabase: All user data is stored on Supabase, a PostgreSQL database provider, with encryption at rest and in transit. Supabase processes data according to their privacy policy.
• Resend/SendGrid: Your email address is shared with our email delivery provider to send account notifications, magic link logins, and platform updates. They process data according to their respective privacy policies.
• NLT Bible API: Scripture verse requests are made anonymously — no personal information is sent with these requests.

Automated Content Screening

To maintain a safe community, all user-generated content (forum posts, messages) is automatically screened using AI-powered moderation before being posted. Content that may violate our community guidelines is flagged for staff review. This screening is designed to protect our community members.

Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• Messages: Retained until you request account deletion.
• Forum posts: When deleted by you, posts are hidden from view but retained in our database for moderation audit purposes.
• Journal entries: Retained until you delete them or request account deletion.
• Moderation logs: Retained indefinitely for community safety audit trail.
• Account deletion: Removes all your personal data, posts, messages, journal entries, goals, and reactions. Contact our staff through the contact form to request account deletion.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies required for authentication (login sessions). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

You have the right to:
